Learned counsel for the respondents No. 1 & 2 has submitted that the official respondents would consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the higher post along with other eligible officers in accordance with the rules and the law holding the field. He has, however, submitted that the order passed by this Court on 19.04.2023, whereby the impugned order placing respondents No. 3 to 5 as In-charge Head Assistants on adhoc basis has been kept in abeyance, is creating difficulty for the official respondents to take the process of promotions to its logical conclusion. 2. The grievance projected by the petitioner in the writ petition is that he, despite being senior to respondents No. 3 to 5, has been ignored while issuing impugned order bearing No. 128-B of 2023 dated 08.04.2023 whereby respondents No. 3 to 5 have been promoted on adhoc basis as Head Assistants over and above the petitioner. 3. Since the official respondents are proposing to make the promotions to the post of Head Assistants on substantive basis, therefore, present writ petition can be disposed of by permitting the official respondents to make the promotions to the said posts on substantive basis and while permitting the official respondents to do so, the interim arrangement made by the official respondents vide impugned order dated 08.04.2023 supra shall remain in abeyance till such time the official respondents consider the eligible officers for promotion to the posts of Head Assistants.
