Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's residential house was damaged on 15.03.2025 due to a landslide caused by the cutting of the road under construction, namely Neel–Saranga Road, falling within the jurisdiction of PWD (R&B) Division, Banihal. It is submitted that although the compensation for the damage has already been assessed, the same has not yet been disbursed. The petitioner has repeatedly approached the respondents for processing and release of the compensation amount; however, instead of taking a decision, the respondents have kept the matter pending. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider his representation. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents raises no objection to the said request. Serial No. 112 2 WP(C) No. 2023/2026 2. Notice. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat the writ petition as a representation, consider the petitioner's claim in accordance with law, and pass a reasoned and speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.
