CORAM:
HON’BLE MS JUSTICE MOKSHA KHAJURIA KAZMI, JUDGE
(ORDER) 30.06.2026
01. By way of the present petition, the petitioners have challenged the
order dated 24.06.2022 passed by the Assistant Commissioner (Central), Kashmir, as well as the order dated 27.06.2022 passed by respondent No. 4, whereby respondent No. 4 directed the demarcation of land falling under Khasra Nos. 17 Min, 16 Min and 02 Min, measuring 04 Kanals and 17 Marlas and 01 Kanal and 10 Marlas, respectively.
02. It is averred in the petition that the impugned orders were passed without affording the petitioners an opportunity of being heard, thereby violating the principles of natural justice.
03. On 03.08.2022, this Court directed respondent No. 4 to carry out the demarcation of the subject land in the presence of both parties and to submit a report before this Court. Mohammad Yaseen Dar I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
04. In compliance with the order dated 03.08.2022, respondent No. 4 has submitted the demarcation report.
05.
Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that, in view of the submission of the demarcation report pursuant to the directions of this Court, the relief sought in the present petition stands substantially satisfied and, consequently, the petition has been rendered infructuous.
06. It appears that after the submission of the demarcation report by respondent No. 4, the petitioners have not showed any interest in prosecuting the present petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
