In the impugned award, an amount of Rs. 10,16,544/- along with 12% interest w.e.f. 18.06.2005 till actual realization had been ordered. From a perusal of the award, it is evident that the present appellant had been directed to deposit the principal amount. The aforesaid principal amount stood deposited, as is evident from the certificate of deposit issued in this respect by the Civil Judge Senior Division, Solan, exercising the powers of the Commissioner, Employees Compensation, Solan.
In view of the aforesaid, operation and execution of the impugned award in the case at hand is stayed till further orders. Amount deposited in pursuance to the impugned award dated 24th February, 2022 be called for and be deposited in the Registry of this Court in accordance with the rules. Respondents/claimants shall be at liberty to move an appropriate application for release of the amount so called for.
Application stands disposed of.
