Learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has superannuated during the pendency of this petition, as such, the relief sought in the present petition has been rendered infructuous. 02. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. SWP No. 1780/2016 03. Learned counsel for petitioner No. 1 has submitted that the said petitioner would feel satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider his claim with regard to the prayer No. (V) Serial No. 76 Regular List 2 WP(C) No. 2752/2022 c/w SWP No. 1780/2016 made in the writ petition in accordance with law within a specified time and in light of the averments made in the writ petition. 04. So far as other petitioners are considered, none has been appearing on their behalf for quite some time. It seems that they have lost interest in prosecuting the petition. 05. In view of the above, while dismissing the writ petition qua petitioners No. 2 to 7 for non-prosecution, a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the claim of petitioner No. 1 with reference to the prayer No. (V) of the writ petition to the extent of entitlement to consequential benefits in light of the averments made in the writ petition and the law holding the field within a period of three months from the date a copy of this order alongwith copy of the writ petition is furnished by petitioner No. 1 to the respondents. 06. Petitioner No. 1 is at liberty to make additional representation before the respondents to supplement the submissions made in the writ petition. 07. Disposed of.
