The petitioner through the medium of instant writ petition has sought a direction upon the respondents to release an amount of Rs.38.65 lakhs in his favour along-with interest @ 15% per annum. 2. The petitioner is a registered (MSME) Contractor and in his capacity as such executed certain works vis-à-vis UIDSSMT (Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns Scheme) of Rs. 38.65/- lakhs pursuant to authorization issued by the respondents in that behalf. 3. According to the petitioner he completed the aforesaid works within the stipulated time and raised the bills against the same in the year 2016-2018. It has been submitted that the total work amount of Rs. 38.65 lakhs has not been released in favour of petitioner till date despite the fact that the works executed by the petitioner have been duly checked and attested by the concerned Executive Engineer. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner shall feel satisfied if this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner within a time frame. 5. Having regard to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner the instant writ petition is disposed of at its threshold, with a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner as projected in the writ petition and take a decision thereon within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is furnished by the petitioner to them subject to verification of the requisite bills. The decision so taken by the respondents shall be conveyed to the petitioner. 6.
