The contempt petition has been filed complaining disobedience of the order in W.P.(MD)No.11033 of 2020 dated 27.07.2021. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CONT P(MD) No. 280 of 2022 __________ Page2 of 5 2.The said writ petition had been filed by the present petitioner seeking a direction against the respondent, namely the Commissioner, Aranthangi Municipality at Pudukkottai District to take action under Section 216 of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 and to remove the unauthorised construction put up by the respondents 2 to 4 in the Raja, Nadiyammal, Ravi @ Ravichandran and also initiate prosecution under Section 317 of the said Act for unauthorised construction made by the said respondents in the Temple property in Town S.F.No.16/43, Aranthangi Town and Taluk, Pudukkottai District. 3.When the Contempt Petition earlier came up, it had been informed that the 4th respondent in the writ petition, Ravi @ Ravichandran had filed Rev.Applw.(MD)No.22 of 2022. The contempt petition was therefore kept in abeyance pending final orders in the review petition. 4.Today, it is informed that the review application had been disposed of on 01.06.2026 granting permission to the review applicant /Ravi @ Ravichandran to approach the local authority, namely the Commissioner, Aranthangi Municipality at Pudukottai District seeking regularisation of the construction put up by him. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CONT P(MD) No. 280 of 2022 __________ Page3 of 5 5.The respondent/Commissioner, Aranthangi Municipality, shall pass appropriate orders within a period of 6 months from the date on which the review applicant /Ravi @ Ravichandran files application for regularisation. If it is found that the said review applicant has put up construction in the temple land, then appropriate orders may also be passed by the respondent. The writ petitioner is also permitted to participate in the proceedings of the respondent herein relating to grant or otherwise of permission to the review applicant for regularization. 6.Holding us above, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
