Respondents ______________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.No.225 of 2022 PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents for their deliberate and intentional disobedience to the order passed by this Court in W.A.No.2133 of 2021, dated 1.9.2021. For Petitioner: No Appearance For Respondents: Mr.C.Kathiravan for R1 and R2 Mr. K.Kumaran Government Pleader for R3 ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) None appears for the petitioner when the matter is called out. 2. This contempt petition alleges non-compliance of the order dated 1.9.2021 passed in W.A.No.2133 of 2021. 3. While disposing of the writ appeal, the following direction was issued: “7. In view of the foregoing, we do not find any error in the order dated 13.7.2021 passed by the learned Single Judge ______________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.No.225 of 2022 in W.P.No.1858 of 2017. Accordingly, the Writ Appeal stands dismissed. However, time granted by the learned Single Judge is extended by two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected C.M.P.No.13516 of 2021 is closed.” 4. W.P.No.1858 of 2017 came to be allowed by the learned Single Judge on 13.07.2021 by passing the following order: “9. In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the second respondent herein to forthwith include the name of the petitioner herein in the selection list for the post of Assistant Professor in the Government Engineering Colleges for the years 2013-14 and 2014-15 and forward the same to the third respondent herein. The TRB shall endeavor to forward the name of the petitioner in the selection list, atleast within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the selection list, the third respondent shall forthwith issue orders of appointment to the petitioner, appointing him as an Assistant Professor in any of the Government Engineering Colleges, atleast within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of the selection list from the TRB.” 5. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader appearing for the third respondent submitted that the name of the petitioner was duly included by the TRB in the selection list for the post of Assistant Professor in the Government ______________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.No.225 of 2022 Engineering Colleges for the years 2013-14 and 2014-15 and the same was forwarded to the third respondent. Thereafter, order of appointment was issued on 19.07.2023 and, subsequently, the services have also been regularized. 6. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this contempt petition, Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed. No costs.
