The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the Proprietor of C. Packiam and Company. The petitioner has been engaging his own permanent employees for loading and unloading work and has been paying them monthly salaries, incentives, allowances, and all other service benefits. It is the grievance of the petitioner that respondent Nos.3 to 5 have been demanding a sum of Rs.3,000/- per lorry as mamool for carrying out loading and unloading operations. Aggrieved by the said demand, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.09.2022 to respondent Nos.1 and 2. Since no action was taken on the said representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the private respondents submitted that the private respondents have no intention of compelling the petitioner to engage their members as loading and unloading workers. 4. Recording the same, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
