JUSTICE BISWAJIT PALIT =O=R=D=E=R= 01/04/2026 Deputy Secretary, Home(Jail) Department, Government of Tripura has filed an affidavit dt.31.03.2026 stating as under : “4. That subsequently, after receipt of the aforesaid fund from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India the Home, (Jail) Department, Government of Tripura has released an amount of Rs.3,85,000/- into the respective bank account of various jail for providing financial assistance to eligible prisoners as per the recommendation, of concerned Dist. Level Empowered Committee under the said scheme. At present, a balance of Rs.36,25,000/- (Rs.40,10,000/- - Rs.3,85,000/-), is lying with the CNA (Central Nodal Agency) account of this Department. 5. That it is further submitted that at present there is no further recommendation from the District Level Empowered Committees for making subsequent disbursement under the scheme.” The said statement is taken on record. As and when there is a further recommendation from the District Level Empowered Committees for making subsequent disbursement under the Scheme, the respondents shall release the money from the Central Nodal Agency Account of the said Department.
