This Court, vide order dated 23.02.2026, referred this matter to the Mediation Centre attached to District Court, Krishnagiri, enabling the parties to resolve their disputes amicably. 3. On 06.04.2026, in the presence of Mediator, a Settlement Agreement was arrived at between the parties, which has been signed by the petitioner and the respondent after their identification by the Mediator. 4. Today, when this matter was taken up for consideration, this Court also enquired the learned counsel for the petitioner and was satisfied that the parties have come to an amicable settlement between themselves. 5. Under such circumstances, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the proceeding pending, even though, the offences involved are not compoundable in nature. In the light of the guidelines given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court reported in 2017 9 SCC 641-(Parbathbhai Aahir @ Parbathbhai Vs. State of Gujrath), this Court in exercise of its jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.P.C.,/Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, quashes the proceeding in C.C.No.1184 of 2015 pending trial on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Krishnagiri. 2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL A No. 916 of 2022 6. In view of the above, the proceedings in C.C.No.1184 of 2015 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Krishnagiri, is hereby quashed as against the petitioner. The terms of Settlement Agreement, dated 06.04.2026 shall form part and parcel of this Order. 7.
