Mr. Bhamburkar, learned Counsel for the applicant, upon instructions, submits that the delay is caused due to reasons which were beyond control of the applicant. The delay is not deliberate or intentional and has happened because of the circumstances. The applicant is a retired person and was also not keeping well and therefore, could not contact his lawyer and thus failed to file revision application within limitation. Hence, delay of 694 days in filing revision is caused. He further submits that the applicant who is a retired person is ready to compensate the accused persons by depositing an amount of Rs.2,000/-. He, therefore, prays that the delay caused in filing the revision application be condoned. 2. As against this, learned Counsel for the respondent Nos.1 and 2 strongly opposes the application on 2026:BHC-NAG:11260 20. APPR 277 of 2022.odt 2 the ground that there is no sufficient explanation provided by the applicant to condone the delay. The reasons are only excuses and ignorance of law cannot be a ground for condoning the delay. Hence, he prays for rejection of application. 3. Taking into consideration that the applicant is a retired person and has voluntarily offered to compensate the accused persons by depositing an amount of Rs.2,000/-, the delay of 694 days caused in filing the criminal revision application is hereby condoned. After depositing the said amount of Rs.2,000/- with the learned Counsel for the accused persons and submitting receipt to that effect, office is directed to register the Criminal Revision Application and list the same for hearing in the next week. 4.
