The present petition has been filed by the Indian Handloom Cooperative Industrial Society Ltd., inter alia, seeking certain directions for verification of the membership of the Respondent No. 1 - Delhi State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (hereinafter “Respondent Bank”). 3. According to the Petitioner, it was a member of the Respondent Bank having membership no. 710. However, it has come to the knowledge of the Petitioner Society that its membership, along with the membership of 1102 other societies, have been deleted by the Respondent Bank. The Petitioner had raised a challenge in respect of the cancellation of its membership with the RCS on 9th November, 2022 and 15th November, 2022. 5. Thereafter, it is stated that the Respondent Bank had sought appointment of a Returning Officer from the RCS for conducting its elections. 6. None appears for the Petitioner. 7. On behalf of the Respondent Bank, it is submitted that the membership of the Petitioner had been terminated on the request of the Petitioner long back and the membership amount has also been refunded on 06th November, 2022. 8. Insofar as the elections of the Respondent Bank are concerned, it is submitted by the ld. Counsel that the elections to the Managing Committee have been conducted and the Managing Committee has been duly constituted. 9. In view of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction that if there is any other outstanding grievance of the Petitioner, the Petitioner is free to approach the RCS under Section 70 of the Delhi Cooperative Societies Act, 2003.
