The prayer in this writ petition is for establishment of a Community Health Centre at a distance of four kilometres from the existing medical institution. The Community Health Centre is proposed to be shifted to Sector 60, Mohali. 2. The matter was taken up on 19.02.2025, the following order was passed:- “Learned State counsel is directed to file an affidavit as to whether the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali, which is situated at a distance of 4 kilometres from the Community Health Centre in question, caters to the problem of minor ailments or not. List on 01.04.2025.” 3. On 05.05.2025, the following order was passed:- “Learned counsel for the petitioner after arguing for a while prays for and is granted time to place on record the health policy of the State or any other instructions which NEERAJ 2026.07.15 17:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-PIL-103-2022 -2- require for establishment of community Health Centre and Primary Health Centre. Adjourned to 30.07.2025.” 4. On the last occasion also, the matter was adjourned. The petitioner has not been able to place on record any material fact to show that under the policy of the State, the establishment of a Community Health Centre at the proposed location is mandatory. 5. Learned State counsel points out that there is an established medical institution situated just at a distance of four kilometres from the proposed Community Health Centre. 6. In these circumstances, we are not inclined to proceed any further in the matter. 7. The petition is accordingly dismissed. 8. Pending application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of.
