It has further been prayed that the investigation be entrusted to a senior officer not below the rank as sought in the petition. 2. It is submitted by learned State counsel that in the present case, cancellation report has already been submitted before the competent Court and, therefore, the present petition has been rendered infructuous. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the petitioner has not denied the aforesaid fact. 4.
