1. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submits that, at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the respondent concerned to decide the application (Annexure P-10) within a stipulated time period.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents No.3 and 4, on instructions, submits that there is no objection in case a direction is issued to the respondent concerned to decide the application (supra) within a stipulated time period.

In view of the above, without evincing any opinion as regards the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the competent authority, amongst the respondents, to take a final decision on the application (supra) within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
