In view of a Larger Bench decision of this Court, the concerned District Judge has the pecuniary jurisdiction to hear all first appeals in the Islands. 2. Accordingly, FAT/3/2022 is dismissed as not maintainable on the ground of pecuniary jurisdiction, with liberty to the appellant to file an appeal before the concerned District Judge on the self-same grounds as taken in the present appeal. 3. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 4. The learned Advocate-on-record for the appellant shall be at liberty to take back the certified copies of the impugned judgment and decree, upon furnishing photocopies thereof for the records, for the purpose of preferring appeal before the jurisdictional Court. 5.
