This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed by the petitioner herein/Accused, to quash the proceedings in FIR No.77 of 2022 of Chagalamarri Police Station, Kurnool, registered against the petitioner herein/Accused, for the offences punishable under Sections 323 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 3 (1) (r) (s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act,
2015. 2.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Special Assistant Public Prosecutor for State, on written instructions, submits that subsequent to filing of the present Criminal Petition, the police completed investigation in the above said crime and filed Charge Sheet and the case was taken on file as Sessions Case No.111 of 2022 and while the said case was pending before the competent Special Court for trial, the petitioner/accused died on 05.12.2024 and in view of the same, the case was abated on 05.12.2024 itself. 3. Recording the said submission, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as abated. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. ___ __________
