Also heard Shri BJ Talukdar, learned State Counsel. The challenge in this writ petition was with regard to a decision to tag the consumers of a fair price shop wherein the number of less than 50 consumers to a nearby fair price shop. The learned counsel has however informed that Page No.# 3/3 similarly issue was raised in a batch of other writ petitions and those writ petitions were dismissed by upholding the decision of the Government. The decision of this Court passed in a bunch of writ petition, the lead case being WP(C)/5470/2021 [Bijay Borah and Anr. Vs. State of Assam and Ors.]rendered on 22.12.2022has been perused.
