IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Civil Review No. 83 of 2022 (Arising out of L.P.A. No. 455 of 2017) Sandeep Kumar Singh … … … … Petitioner Versus Amalesh Kumar and Others … … … … Opp. Parties --------- CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE DEEPAK ROSHAN --------- For the Petitioner: Mr Dhananjay Kumar Pathak, Advocate For Resp. No.1: Mr Atanu Banerjee, Advocate For Resp. No.2: Mr Ishaani Singh, Advocate Mr Vishal Kumar, Advocate For Resps.3,4&5: Mr Mrinal Kanti Roy, G.A.-I For Resp. No.7: Ms Rashmi Kumar, Advocate --------- 09/Dated: 17.06.2026 I.A. No. 3772 of 2026 1. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 2. This IA seeks condonation of 514 days in filing this review petition against the judgment and order 03.08.2022 in L.P.A. No. 455 of 2017. 3. This Civil Review petition was filed on 18.11.2022, but certified copy of the impugned order was supplied only on 29.01.2024. Accordingly, the delay in filing the defect-free review petition is 514 days. 4. During the pendency of this review petition, surprisingly, the applicant filed an SLP before the Hon’ble Supreme Court and then withdrew the SLP with liberty to file a review petition. There is no clarity whether the Hon’ble Supreme Court was informed about the pendency of the review petition. 5. Be that as it may, we note that the review petition was actually filed on 18.11.2022 i.e. within about three months from passing of the order dated 03.08.2022. The same was kept under objection because no certified copy was filed for considerable time. 6. Considering the above circumstance that the defective review petition was filed on 18.11.2022, we condone the delay and dispose of the I.A. (M. S. Sonak, C.J.) (Deepak Roshan, J.)
