Order No. 07
Dated: 22.04.2026
I.A. No. 3991 of 2026
1. This application seeks condonation of delay in filing this review petition. The application refers to delay of 625 days but the learned counsel for the applicant points out that in reality, the delay is of only 192 days.
2. The record shows that after this review petition was filed seeking review of the order dated 03.02.2022, the petitioner preferred a Special Leave Petition against the same on 05.04.2022. The said S.L.P. was dismissed on 20.05.2022 before this review petition was filed on 29.09.2022.
2
3. Post the filing of the review petition, the petitioner took almost four years to clear the office objections and filed a certified copy of the
order of which the review was applied. Though, this delay is regrettable, this delay cannot be included for computing the delay in filing the review petition itself.
4. Considering the fact that the petitioner did file Special Leave Petition and after its dismissal filed this review petition within a reasonable period, sufficient cause has been shown to condone this delay of over 192 days. This is not a case where the petitioner was indolent in the matter of instituting the review petition at least.
5. Therefore, on cumulative consideration of these circumstances, we condone the delay and dispose of I.A. No. 3991 of 2026.
