By way of the instant petition, the petitioners pray for issuance of the following writs of mandamus: (i) a writ of mandamus commanding and directing respondent Nos. 1 and 2 to conduct the election of the Apex Council and office bearers of the JKCA in a time-bound manner, preferably within a period of two months; and (ii) a writ of mandamus commanding and directing respondent No. 2 to appoint a Returning Officer, preferably a former judicial officer, for conducting the Sr. No. 179 2 election of the Apex Council and office bearers of the JKCA. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the elections in question have already been held and concluded, as such this petition has become infructuous. 3. In view of the aforesaid submission, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw this petition. 4.
