Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. 3. Pursuant to order dt.18.05.2026, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner contended that in the meantime, Petitioner has been released with a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- towards gratuity even though he is otherwise entitled to get Rs.6,41,700/- along with interest because of delayed payment of the same. 4. Learned State Counsel on the other hand contended that since Petitioner has already received the gratuity amount as due and admissible, the Writ Petition has become infructuous. 5. To the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, Mr. B.K. Nayak, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner contended that person similarly situated has got the benefit of interest because of such delayed payment. 6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the submission made, this Court while disposing the Writ Petition observe that if Petitioner make a fresh application seeking grant of the residue gratuity amount, if any, along with interest, before Opp. party No.3, the same shall be considered in accordance with law within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of the representation. 7.
