JUSTICE SANJAY PARIHAR, JUDGE ORDER 10.04.2026 In the case in hand, the petitioner has been accused of an offence under Section 7 (c) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in FIR No. 09/2021 dated 31.08.2021. This Court, as an interim arrangement, had directed vide order dated 08.09.2021 that the investigation shall proceed ahead however, upon completion of the investigation, in the event the chargesheet is contemplated to be filed, the same shall await orders of this Court. It is the case of the respondents that the investigation is complete and the matter is ripe for presentation of the chargesheet, but for the interim direction, the chargesheet could not be filed. It appears from the previous orders that the petitioner has stayed away from the proceedings. Even on the last date of hearing there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and the same holds true today also. It appears that the petitioner is only enjoying the interim directions without delving into the merits of the case. In that backdrop, this petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. Interim direction(s), if any, subsisting as on date shall stand vacated. The respondents shall proceed ahead with the investigation and file the chargesheet at the earliest.
