She has given a petition to the police seeking recovery of possession. To my knowledge, the respondent police do not have jurisdiction to grant a decree for recovery of possession. The appropriate remedy for the petitioner is to approach the jurisdictional civil Court. Leaving it open to do that said exercise, this petition is dismissed.
