Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, pursuant to the settlement arrived at between the parties, the petitioner has paid a total sum of Rs. 8,50,000/- to the respondent towards full and final settlement of all claims arising out of the dispute.

The respondent-in-person, who is also present through Video Conferencing, submits that he has received the entire settled amount and has no objection if the impugned judgment dated 08.11.2021 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, North District, Rohini Courts, Delhi, in Criminal Appeal No. 201/2019, as well as the judgment of conviction dated 29.03.2019 and the order on sentence dated 30.09.2019 passed by the learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, North District, Rohini Courts, Delhi, are quashed. 5. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties and the statement made by the respondent that he has received the entire settled amount and has no objection to the quashing of the impugned judgments and orders, no useful purpose would be served by continuing the present proceedings.

Accordingly, the impugned judgment dated 08.11.2021 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, North District, Rohini Courts, Delhi, in Criminal Appeal No. 201/2019, as well as the judgment of conviction dated 29.03.2019 and the order on sentence dated 30.09.2019 passed by the learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, North District, Rohini Courts, Delhi, are hereby set aside. Consequently, the petitioner is acquitted of the offence complained of. The bail bonds, if any, are cancelled and the surety, if any, stands discharged.
