Learned counsel who appears for the respondent-Municipal Corporation of Delhi (‘MCD’), has apprised this Court that between the period of 21.04.2025 to 10.02.2026, from different areas of South Zone, around 211 monkeys were caught and they were rehabilitated to the concerned rehabilitation site, it being, Asola Wildlife Sanctuary. have been complied with in letter and spirit. Even a toll-free number has been made available to the public for the purposes of registering their grievance qua the aforenoted issue. It is the stand of the MCD that as and when a grievance is registered, the same will be immediately looked into, and necessary actions, in accordance with law shall be undertaken.
3. The Court, thus, finds that there is no reason to keep the present writ petitioner pending, and instead deems it appropriate to dispose of the same while granting liberty to the petitioner to raise their grievance/issue before the concerned Authority, in case, the petitioner feels that the directions passed by the Court are not being fully adhered to.
4. If such a grievance is raised by the petitioner, let the same be looked into without any undue delay.
5. With the aforesaid observations, the petition, along with pending applications, stands disposed of.
