Learned counsel submits that the services of the petitioner was terminated on account of he being involved in an FIR under Punjab Excise Act, wherefrom he stands acquitted vide judgment dated 23.03.2026 and thus, there has to be re-consideration made, in view of Rule 16.3 of Punjab Police Rules and the judgment in Iqbal Singh vs. State of Punjab and Others, CWP-7776- 2024, decided on 05.06.2024. In this regard, the petitioner submit a representation, which may be directed to be decided in a time bound manner. 2. Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 3.
