The petitioner company by way of this writ petition has questioned the inactions of the respondents to decide upon various representations/applications filed by the petitioner, more particularly, the applications dated 12.10.2020 and 02.04.2021 seeking relief for fulfilment of export obligations. Dr. N. Mozika, learned DSGI appearing for the respondents, by drawing attention of this Court to paragraph 9 of the affidavit-in- opposition of the respondent Nos. 1 – 5, submits that the reason for non- disposal of the representations dated 12.10.2020 and 02.04.2021 appears to be because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic at that relevant point of time. He further submits that the pendency of this writ petition is also cited to be another reason for non-consideration of the aforesaid representations. The learned DSGI, therefore, fairly submits that this writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representations within a specific period of time. As the primary grievance of the writ petitioner is against non- disposal of the representations dated 12.10.2020 and 02.04.2021, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents, particularly the 2026:MLHC:575 respondent Nos. 2, 3 and 4, to dispose of the representations dated 12.10.2020 and 02.04.2021 within a period of 3 (three) months from today.
