HARINATH N (Asst Solicitor General) 3. 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 18466 of 2021 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer: “....to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction particularly in the nature of Writ of mandamus declaring the action on the part of the respondent Nos. 1 to 4 in seeking to collect AMC / fee in on the notified agricultural commodity namely Blackgrams through an indirect / backdoor method of introduction of e-transport permit as illegal, arbitrary, discriminatory, unjust and in the teeth of the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court dated 12-01-2021 and restrain the respondents 1 to 4, all their officers, subordinates, and agents in the State of Andhra Pradesh from collecting the AMC from the farmers / traders including the Petitioners,..” 2. None represented for the petitioners. 3. Ms.G.N. Uma Rani, learned Standing Counsel for the Agricultural Marketing Committees, basing on the averments made in the counter affidavit of the respondent Nos.1 and 2, would submit that, though the matter is pending before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Writ Petition (Civil) No.118 of 2020, the respondent-authorities have already removed the e-transport permit system in the State of Andhra Pradesh and are not collecting any charges, even as on the date of filing of the Writ Petition. Therefore, the relief sought in the Writ Petition has become infructuous. 4. Recording the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel for Agricultural Marketing Committees, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
