IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA CWP No.7956 of 2021 Decided on: 22.04.2026 Anamika Sharma & ors. … Petitioners Versus State of H.P. and others … Respondents Coram Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge. Whether approved for reporting?1 ___________________________________________________________________ For the petitioners : Mr. Surya Chauhan, Advocate. For the respondents : Mr. Rajpal Thakur, Additional Advocate General, for the respondents/State. Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioners have, inter alia, prayed for the following relief:- “i. That the respondents may kindly be directed to regularize the services of the petitioners with effect from September, 2020, in accordance with the Policy, Annexue P-5, alongwith all consequential benefits of pay, arrears, seniority etc.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners points out that the issue raised by the petitioners in this writ petition stands squarely covered by a judgment of the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court in CWP No.5488 of 2020 titled as Gulshan Bhatia and others Vs State of H.P. & another, decided on 26.03.2021, copy whereof is appended with the petition as Annexure P/8. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 3. A perusal of the writ petition demonstrates that there is a reference of this judgment in para 10 of the writ petition, wherein it is mentioned that the petitioners were similarly situated as the petitioners in the said writ petition. Reply filed to this para of the petition demonstrates that there is no denial to the averments made in this para of the petition and in fact it is mentioned in the reply that the said judgment has been implemented in letter and spirit. 4. In this view of the matter, as the respondents do not dispute that the issue raised in this petition is squarely covered by the judgment passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court in CWP No.5488 of 2020 supra, this petition is disposed of with a direction that the directions passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench in the aforesaid case shall be construed to have been passed in the present case also and the delay in joining the post between 29.09.2017 upto 03.10.2017 is condoned. Consequences to ensue in terms of the aforesaid judgment of the Hon’ble Division Bench. 5. In view of above, this petition stands disposed of. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of accordingly. (Ajay Mohan Goel) Judge April 22, 2026 (mamta)
