Through the medium of the present petition, the petitioners are seeking implementation of the direction dated 07.12.2019 passed by the writ court, whereby the respondents have been directed to an ensure early decision in regard to payment of benefits in terms of Government Order dated 02.02.2016. 2. Fresh compliance report has been filed by the respondent. Along with the compliance report, the respondents have placed on record a copy of Government Order No. 261-Home of 2026 dated 30.04.2026, the operative portion whereof reads as under: “Now, therefore, in due deference to the directions of the Hon'ble High Court of J&K dated 07.12.2019 passed in writ petition WP(C) 2257/2019 titled Mohd Ashraf Khan and others, sanction is hereby accorded to the grant of one month monetary benefit (for the month of retirement) to the PHQ Order No. 2172 of 2018 dated 23.05.2018, in favour of twenty-eight (28) skilled employees whose names are mentioned above, who retired prior to the issuance of PHQ's order ibid, subject to the condition that the said benefit shall be admissible strictly for the purpose of revision of pension only and shall not be extended to gratuity, leave encashment,, or any other pensionary benefits:” 3.
