JUSTICE RAJNESH OSWAL, JUDGE ORDER 26.02.2026 01. Learned counsel for the parties are, ad idem, that the Land Acquisition Collector had made an award on April 11, 2023. And, pursuant thereto, a sum of ₹2,21,65,789/- have been transferred in the Bank Account of each of the appellant Nos. 1 and 2, namely, Sh. Sukhchain Singh and Sh. Balwant Singh. Similarly, ₹1,13,51,574/- each was credited in the Bank Account of appellant Nos. 3 and 4 i.e., Sh. Vijay Kumar and Sh. Karnail Singh. 02. Learned Senior counsel for the appellants submits that the appellants being dissatisfied with the compensation assessed and awarded by the Collector had sought a Reference in terms of Section 64 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. And even though the said application, received under Receipt No. 404 dated October 11, 2023, is pending since 2023, but to no avail. 03. Per contra, Ms. Monika Kohli, Sr. AAG, on instructions, submits that no such application was ever received by the Authorities. However, she submits the Sr. No. 30 LPA No. 12/2020 in OWP No. 797/2012 appellants are free to approach the Competent Authority in this regard and, if indeed, any such application/Reference is pending, the same shall be dealt with at the earliest and necessary orders in accordance with law shall be passed. 04. As regards the issue of demarcation of the subject land, she submits that the appellants may also, if so advised, submit a representation to the Competent Authority, which, too, shall be considered and decided. 05. That being so, learned Senior counsel for the appellants submits that nothing substantive survives in the appeal at hands and the same be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
