The writ petition had been filed in the year 2020 in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to regulate financial activities towards energy savings of the Industries (Designated Consumers) by way of banks or other financial Institutions, which are approved by the Reserve Bank of India. From the year 2020, the matter had not been listed regularly and as a matter of fact, the records shows that even interim orders have not been passed. It had been noted when the matter came up for admission as follows: “The Writ Petition is styled as a Public Interest Litigation and according to the petitioner, who claims to be the Founder and Managing Trustee of KNRJM Memorial Charitable Trust, Middle Street, Nadupatti (PO), Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District, in terms of Energy Conservation Act, 2001, "Bureau of Energy Efficiency" has https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP(MD) No. 11107 of 2020 __________ Page3 of 6 been created by the first respondent in March, 2002 and their role is to oversee the energy efficiency services, enable delivery mechanisms in the country and to provide leadership to energy efficiency in all sectors of the country and despite that, no effective steps appeared to have been taken. In this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 16.08.2020, to the first respondent and copies marked to concerned official respondents and despite receipt and acknowledgement, no response is forthcoming. Therefore, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by way of filing this Writ Petition as Public Interest Litigation.” 2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner stated that he is not able to contact the petitioner. The writ petition stands dismissed. But however, if the cause survives, the petitioner may always take appropriate steps to redress his grievances.
