The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioners have given a representation dated 20.08.2020 23.08.2020, 26.08.2020, 03.09.2020 and 16.09.2020 to to shut down the hazardous coir fiber and coir pith manufacturing industries situated in Thimmanguthu Village Pollachi taluk, Coimbatore District run by the respondents 17 and 18 for want of proper approval permission NOC etc, from the official respondents and take action against the respondents 17 and 18 for the damage being caused to the natural resources like water lands and life of the villagers. In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2020 23.08.2020, 26.08.2020, 03.09.2020 and 16.09.2020 will be disposed of by the 8th respondent within a period of 12 weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 8th respondent to issue notice to the private respondents herein and conduct enquiry and thereafter, dispose of the petitioners’ representations dated 20.08.2020 23.08.2020, 26.08.2020, 03.09.2020 and 16.09.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
