Learned counsel for respondent No.1 submits that there is a typographical error in the table of calculation contained in paragraph-15, wherein a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- towards ‘loss of future amenities and happiness’ has been included even though in paragraph- 13, it is held that the claimant is not entitled to compensation under the separate head towards ‘loss of future amenities and happiness’. Considering the said aspect, in paragraph-15, a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- for ‘loss of future amenities and happiness’ requires to be deleted. As the said amount is Digitally signed by LAKSHMINARAYANA MURTHY RAJASHRI Location: HIGH COURT OF KARNATAKA - 2 - MFA NO. 367/2020 (MV - I) deleted, the total compensation awarded comes to Rs.20,80,090/-. Consequentially, the amount of compensation calculated in paragraph-16 also requires to be corrected. In paragraph-16, the total compensation of Rs.21,80,090/- is corrected as Rs.20,80,090/- at two places and Rs.19,62,081/- is corrected as Rs.18,72,081/-. The same correction shall also be effected in the operative portion of the order. Office is directed to effect the said corrections and issue fresh certified copy.
