Shri Madhur Shukla, learned Government Advocate for the respondent/State. The petitioners are working on the post of Meter Readers with the Madhya Pradesh Poorva Shetra Vidyut Vitran Company Ltd. The undisputed fact is that they are on contractual service which has been extended time to time and they have been working on the said post for the past 5 to 10 years. The petitioners are aggrieved by the purported move of the respondents to call for fresh appointments again on contractual basis. Learned counsel for the petitioners has drawn the attention of this Court to the various orders passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in similar matters whereby the petitions have been disposed of by giving liberty to the respondents to fill up the post of meter readers through regular appointment but till such time the petitioners be allowed to continue. Under the circumstances, this petition is disposed of with a liberty to the respondents to go ahead with the process of making the regular appointments to the post of Meter Readers but till such time the services of the petitioners herein shall not be discontinued.
