This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement. 2. By filing the present Writ Petition, the Petitioner has assailed the illegal and arbitrary action of Opposite Party No.2 (Sub-Collector, Angul) in directing the concerned authorities to take immediate steps for eviction of the Petitioner's residential house, cowshed and other constructions standing over the disputed land. 3. When the matter was taken up for consideration on 12.03.2026, this Court referred the dispute to the Orissa High Court Mediation Centre, Cuttack, for exploring the possibility of an amicable settlement between the parties. Both the parties appeared before the Mediation Centre and amicably resolved their dispute. They have, therefore, prayed for disposal of the present Writ Petition in view of the successful mediation. A copy of the Mediation Report dated 10.07.2026 is available at Flag-20. 4. This Court perused the Mediation report dated 10.07.2026 , the relevant portion of which, reads as follows: “Both the parties are present at High Court of Orissa Mediation Centre, Aain Seva Bhawan, Cuttack. I persuaded and generated various options to settle the dispute between the parties amicably. During the course of mediation both parties are agreed to settle their dispute amicably and they don't want to proceed further. The petitioner undertakes to take steps to withdraw the above case. In the above circumstance, the mediation proceeding became Successful. Office of the mediation Centre is requested to submit this report before the Hon'ble Court for kind perusal.” 5. It is evident from the Mediation Report that the parties have voluntarily resolved their inter se disputes and have unequivocally expressed their intention not to pursue the present proceeding any further.
