Sundar, CJ) [1] Captioned ‘Writ Appeal’ (‘WA’ for the sake of brevity) was referred to mediation. [2] In the hearing today, Mr. Md. Fakharuddin, learned counsel for sole appellant and Mr. A. Rommel, learned counsel for all the 3 (three) respondents are before this Court. [3] Afore-referred both counsel submit in one voice in unison that the mediation was successful and it has culminated in settlement, the settlement terms have been reduced to writing vide proceedings captioned ‘grounds of settlement dated 26.02.2026’ (‘said settlement’ for the sake of brevity and convenience). [4] The High Court Legal Services Committee, High Court of Manipur under cover of letter dated 17.03.2026 bearing Reference No. HCLSC/Med/2-2024/1179 has communicated to the Registry of this Court that mediation was successful and said settlement has also been sent to the Registry of this Court under cover of this letter. A scanned reproduction of this letter dated 17.03.2026 and the said settlement dated 26.02.2026 are as follows : [5] Both the aforementioned counsel make a joint/common request that the captioned WA may please be disposed of in terms of said settlement (scanned and reproduced supra). Both learned counsel submit that the appellant and the second respondent (for respondent No. 2 and on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 and 3 with requisite mandate) have signed said settlement in the presence of one another and in the presence of both counsel. [6] In the light of the narrative thus far, afore-referred common/joint request of learned counsel on both sides is acceded to. [7] Ergo, the sequitur is, captioned WA is disposed of in terms of said settlement i.e., settlement dated 26.02.2026 which shall now form part of this order. [8] There shall be no order as to costs.
