By means of this application, the Petitioner seeks the following relief: “It is therefore prayed that your Lordship may graciously be pleased to admit this writ petition, issue notice to the Opp. Parties to file show cause and after hearing by issuing writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ / writs direct the Opp. Party Nos. 2 & 3 to re- appoint the Petitioner as Home Guard in Jajpur District Home Guards Organization, with all benefits. And any other relief/reliefs, order/orders ,direction / directions as your Lordship’s be passed deem just and proper;” 3. The innocuous prayer of the Petitioner is in respect to the fact that the representation is pending before the Secretary, Home Department, Government of Odisha and the Commandant General, Home Guards, Odisha, wherein the Petitioner has prayed for his re-appointment as Home Guard. The Writ application is of the year 2019 and the Petitioner has not removed the defects, pointed out by the Stamp Reporter despite lapse of six years. 4. Be that as it may, the innocuous prayer of the Petitioner, being one in respect to the disposal of his representation pending before the authority; the representation, if any, of the nature as submitted by the Petitioner is pending before the authority, be disposed of within a period of one month and the result thereof be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of one week thereafter. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. 6. A free copy of this order be supplied to the learned counsel for the State for onward transmission and for compliance.
