The petitioners are seeking parity with the respondent No. 4 regarding engagement on compassionate basis to a higher post than that of Orderly, on the ground that the petitioners and the respondent No. 4 are sailing in the same boat, having same qualification and their deceased fathers were posted in the same department. 02. It is contended that the petitioners and respondent No. 4 were possessing same qualification, but the respondent No. 4 was engaged on compassionate basis on a higher post than the petitioners. It is further contended that in this regard, the petitioners have also made representations before the respondents but till date, the same have not been addressed by the respondents. 03. The respondents have filed the objections and resisted the petition on the ground that the case of the petitioners is not similar to that of the respondent No. 4, therefore, they cannot be given same treatment by offering appointment on compassionate basis on a higher post as has been given to the respondent No. 4. 04. Being faced with the aforesaid position, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners shall feel satisfied if the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to accord consideration to the case of the petitioners. 05. Since an innocuous prayer is made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this writ petition is taken up on Board for disposal and the same is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat the instant writ petition as representation on behalf of the petitioners and accord consideration to the case of the petitioners and in case it is found that the case of the petitioners is similar to that of the respondent No. 4, then accord similar treatment to the case of the petitioners as has been accorded in favour of respondent No. 4 and pass a speaking order in this regard expeditiously, preferably within a period of eight from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 06.
