(Oral) The instant appeal is preferred against the order dated 24.07.2018, passed in Motor Accident Claims Petition No.75 of 2015, Smt. Kavita Rani and Others v. Gabbar Singh @ Sukhdev Singh and others (“the claim petition”), by the court of District Judge/Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Haridwar. By it, the claim petition filed by the respondent nos. 3 to 7 (“the claimants”) has been allowed, and the respondent no.1/Insurance Company has been directed to pay the amount of compensation to the claimants, and to recover it from the appellant. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 3. Learned counsel for the parties submit that the claimants have already been paid the compensation by the respondent no.1/Insurance Company. This amount is to be recovered by the respondent no.1/Insurance Company from the appellant, but the appellant and the Insurance Company have arrived at a settlement in the mediation held on 21.04.2026, of which proceedings are enclosed. 4. The appellant has joined the proceedings through video conferencing, as identified by his counsel. 2 5. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1/Insurance Company has verified this settlement/agreement, which took place on 21.04.2026 in the mediation centre of this Court. 6. The appeal is decided in terms of the agreement arrived at between the parties. 7. The agreement shall form part of the order. 8.
