In this case, in terms of order dated 06.02.2026, the respondents were directed to place on record the latest status report regarding the complaint lodged by respondent No. 3 with the SHO, Police Station, Peer Mitha, Jammu on 26.06.2018, which was filed on 25.02.2025. From the status report, it transpires that the complainant had lodged a complaint before the SHO, Police Station, Peer Mitha, Jammu, but simultaneously appears to have also filed separate complaint before the Crime Branch, which the agency got enquired and found that the allegations were not proved and, accordingly, sent it for approval as not admitted, to the Crime Branch Headquarter, vide letter No. CHQ/Clt./J-101/2019/3172 dated 10.02.2022. Given the latest status report, it appears that the complaint lodged by respondent No. 3 has been found not proved and not trustworthy for further investigation. 3. In that background, the present petition has been rendered infructuous and the same is, therefore, dismissed. 4. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
