As common issues are involved in the captioned petitions, with the consent of all parties, the same are hereby disposed of by this common order. For the sake of brevity and convenience, facts are borrowed from CWP No.2407 of 2019. 2. Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that as per judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court in National Highways Authority of India v. Tarsem Singh and others, 2026 SCC OnLine SC 481, the State has recalculated petitioners’ entitlement and forwarded the matter to National Highways Authority of India (for short ‘NHAI’). If, in any case, out of captioned cases, calculation has not been made as per aforesaid judgment, it would be made within four weeks from today and thereafter forwarded to NHAI. 3. Learned Senior counsel for NHAI submits that they would release payment as per calculation made by Collector read with judgment of Supreme Court in Tarsem Singh (supra). 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Authorities are not calculating interest on solatium whereas they are entitled to interest besides principal amount. 5. In view of law laid down by Supreme Court in Tarsem Singh (supra), the Authorities are liable to pay interest on solatium under Section 34 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894.
