The instant first appeal has been filed assailing Award dated 01.08.2018 passed by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Sangrur in short the ‘Tribunal’). 2. In pursuance to order dated 08.07.2026, the appellants as well as the Insurance Company have filed their respective affidavits, which are taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. 3. As per the affidavits, the matter has been amicably settled between the appellants and the Insurance Company for a sum of Rs. 5,00,000/- to be paid by the Insurance Company to the appellants-claimants over and above the amount of compensation awarded by learned Tribunal, vide Award dated 01.08.2018. 4. Keeping in view the fact that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties, the present appeal is disposed of with a direction to the Insurance Company-respondent No.3 to pay the settled amount of Rs.5,00,000/- (over and above the compensation awarded by learned Tribunal) within a period of three weeks from today.
