1. With the consent of parties, this common order shall dispose of the aforementioned civil writ petitions as the issue involved, is identical in nature. However, for the sake of brevity, the facts are taken from CWP-6765-2019.

The present civil writ petition(s) has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the act/practice of the respondent-State to terminate the service of the petitioner(s) by transfer/deputation basis. Further, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to allow the petitioner(s) to continue on the post of extension Lecturers/Assistant Professor (English) for quashing the relieving of the petitioner(s) by transfer or deputation.
3. Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that during the pendency of the present petition(s), the State of Haryana has promulgated the NEHA 2026.07.16 10:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh

"The Haryana Extension Lecturer and Guest Lecturer (Security of Service) Act, 2024." He further submits that the claim of the petitioner(s) for security of tenure can be examined under the provisions of the said Act, as amended on 11.06.2026, and that appropriate orders shall be passed after examining the eligibility of the petitioner(s) in terms thereof.

Learned counsel for the petitioner(s) submits that he has no objection, at this stage, if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to consider the claim of the petitioner(s) in terms of the Haryana Extension Lecturer and Guest Lecturer (Security of Service) Act, 2024, as amended and decide the same within a time-bound period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner(s) refers to the judgment rendered by this Court in CWP No.5144 of 2026 titled as Dinesh Kumar and others Vs. State of Haryana and others, decided on 27.02.2026 and submits that the provisions of the Haryana Extension Lecturer and Guest Lecturer (Security of Service) Act, 2024 are pari materia to the principles laid down therein. He, therefore, prays that the claim of the petitioner(s), by treating the present petition(s) as a comprehensive representation, be decided in the light of the aforesaid judgment as well as the provisions of the 2024 Act, as amended.
6. In view of the discussion made hereinabove, all the aforementioned writ petitions are disposed of. The petitioners are directed to submit fresh comprehensive representations within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Upon receipt thereof, respondent No.2 shall consider and decide the same, in the light of the
judgment rendered by this Court in Dinesh Kumar’s case (supra) as well as the NEHA 2026.07.16 10:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh
CWP-6765-2019 and connected cases -4- provisions of the 2024 Act, as amended, within a further period of six weeks, thereafter.
