Side) for R-2 * * * * * https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No.29772 of 2019 ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed as Public Interest Litigation with the following relief: Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and act on petitioner’s representation dated 19.08.2019 regarding the faulty way the police has handled the complaints of the Corporation. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that whenever a complaint is given to the police regarding storm water issues, the same is not being handled or addressed properly. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submit that wherever the complaints are being received, they are being registered, if cognizable offence is made out. Learned counsel for the respondents further submit that there are provisions in place as to how to deal with the complaints in accordance with law. 4. From perusal of the material available on record, we find that the petitioner has not produced any document or material to show that https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No.29772 of 2019 in a specific instance, the police has not acted on the complaint. In view of absence of material available on record, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
