DATE : AUGUST 6, 2026. Heard. 2. In response to order dated 30.07.2026, learned A.G.P. submits that cheque for the principal amount is ready and will be deposited with Registry. 3. The statement is accepted. The petitioner is at liberty to withdraw the amount that will be deposited by respondent Nos.1 and 2 today in the Court. 4. So far as payment of interest is concerned, learned A.G.P. for respondent Nos.1 and 2 and learned counsel for respondent No.3, both agree that in the present case interest in terms of Section 34 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, is payable to the petitioner. They have assured that they will take a decision as to who, whether State Government or the Central Government, is liable to pay interest. 5. The decision shall be taken within three weeks from today and the amount of interest shall be paid directly to the petitioner, within one week thereafter.
