DATED : 22nd July, 2026 Civil Application No.2759/2026 This is an application for grant of permission to withdraw the amount of compensation lying in fixed deposit. 2. The respondent No.2 has preferred this application for withdrawal of the amount since he has attained majority. At the time of award he was minor and therefore the amount of his share of compensation amounting to Rs.25,00,000/- was directed to be invested in fixed deposit till he attains the age of majority. 3. This Court vide order dated 01/12/2022 in Civil Application No.2117/2022 permitted 50% amount deposited by the appellant Insurance Company along with accrued interest to be withdrawn by respondent Nos.1 to 4 . 4. According to Ms Aditi Timande, learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that the applicant’s share of compensation is presently kept in fixed deposit as per 2 26-FA-1706-29.odt award passed by the learned Tribunal and directed by this Court. Now, as the respondent No.2 has attained majority, he may be permitted to withdraw the entire amount of his share which is lying in this Court. 5. It is submitted by the learned counsel that total amount of Rs.25 lakh was directed to be kept in fixed deposit. Out of said amount, 50% amount is permitted to be withdrawn by respondent No.2 along with accrued interest. 6. Civil Application is disposed of. (SUSHIL M. GHODESWAR, J.) Asmita
