CMP(M) Nos.366 and 367 of 2026 By means of these applications, applicant Saroj Kumari has prayed for bringing her on record in place of her husband late Sh. Surjit Singh, who has died during the pendency of the writ petition on 13.07.2022. 2. Late Sh. Surjit Singh, who was arrayed as petitioner No.2 had retired from service on 30.04.2021 and died on 13.07.2022. The applicant had no knowledge regarding pendency of the petition and she came to know about this fact when she was contacted by the co- petitioner for filing application for condonation of delay. Since there is a delay in filing the application for bringing her on record, an application for condonation of delay in filing the application has been filed. 3. The notices in the applications were issued to the respondents on 10.04.2026 and on 03.08.2026 four weeks time as last opportunity was granted to the respondents to file replies to these applications. However, no reply has been filed. 4. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and gone through the record. 5. A perusal of the application reveals that that the applicant, who is wife of the deceased Surjit Singh, was unaware about the pendency of the petition. Since no reply has been filed by the respondents objecting to the prayer made by the applicant coupled with the fact that the petition is being pursued by other petitioners too, the applications are allowed and applicant Saroj Kumari, who is wife of the deceased Surjit Singh is ordered to be brought on record in place of petitioner No.2, namely, Surjit Singh, after condoning the delay in filing the application. 6. The applications are accordingly disposed of. Amended memo of parties filed with the applications is ordered to be placed at an appropriate place.
